Credit Manager (Irongate)

Western Forest Products is hiring for an Credit Manager at our Bellingham Lumber Yard.
As our accounting team members are approaching retirement, WFP wants someone to fill the shoes of some of our top employees who have been with the company for close to 40 years.
Credit Manager reports directly to our Accounting Manager and Comptroller and will be expected to learn and support the accounting team.
• Credit Manager will be expected to execute the following: • Has a great attitude that welcomes fellow staff and customers • Handles themselves in a professional manner • Answers incoming calls and emails promptly • Creating new and updating current customer accounts • Processing and recording transactions • Posting and reconciling customer payments • Investigating and resolving account discrepancies • Handling other data entry and processing throughout the company • Work closely and effectively with staff at both lumber yards • Maintaining legal documents securing Construction Lien Rights Requirements list as follows: • Prior accounting knowledge (schooling or work experience) • Time Management to meet deadlines • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Knowledgeable with computers and printers • Able to complete the task at hand with distractions • Understanding building materials is not required but a plus • Able to excel in team setting while still able to be a self-starter • High School GED or equivalent A family-owned company since 1980, Western Forest Products has provided customers with the best-in-class service and wholesale building materials.
