We are hiring!
We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and qualified Elementary School Teacher to join
our team.
The ideal candidate is someone who believes in the power of arts in
education, enjoys working with elementary-aged students, and is adept at creating
engaging, interdisciplinary lessons that integrate art, science, mathematics, and
language arts.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
JOB SUMMARY
As an Elementary School Teacher at RWSAS, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the
educational experience of our students.
You will be responsible for delivering an
arts-integrated curriculum, fostering a love of learning, and preparing students for future
academic and personal success.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Arts Education, or a related field is required.
Master’s
degree preferred.
Valid teaching credential for elementary education.
Previous experience in an elementary classroom setting, with a preference for
candidates who have experience integrating arts into the curriculum.
CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to acquire within 30 days of hire.
Must pass a comprehensive background check.
Demonstrated flexibility in handling the dynamic nature of classroom environments.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with
students, parents, and colleagues.
A passion for arts and education and a belief in the importance of creative learning.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement a curriculum that integrates arts with traditional academic
subjects.
Appropriately deal with conflict and behavior management with children.
Engage students in learning activities that foster creativity, critical thinking, and
problem-solving skills.
Manage classroom dynamics and support individual student needs.
Build strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and the school community.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and participate in school events,
meetings, and professional development activities.
Serve as a mentor and role model, demonstrating enthusiasm for learning and the arts.
Communicate regularly with parents and the program director regarding student
progress, classroom needs, and any concerns.
