Whatcom Community College invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty position to teach CIS beginning winter quarter 2024 and to expand the pool of instructors for future positions that may occur.
The CIS instructor will teach CIS 110 with potentail for other opportunities depending on their experience and interest.
The College is seeking a dynamic individual interested in developing and engaging students, both inside and outside the classroom, using innovative and inclusive curriculum and teaching methods, including the application of technology.
The College seeks faculty who have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, colleagues, staff, and others in a campus climate that promotes cultural diversity and global understanding.

Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: -An understanding of the mission of a community college.

Minimum Qualifications -Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution or equivalent training and experience for BAS instructors.
-Industry experience in IT.
Preferred Qualifications -An understanding of the mission of a community college.

-A desire to provide a unique and quality experience for students.
Salary: -$4,385.
00 to teach CIS 110 winter quarter 2024 w/potential opportunity to teach additional/other classes.
Benefit Package: -Accrues a percentage of 7 hours (equal to the percentage of workload) per month of sick leave (ex.
50% quarterly employment contract x 7 hrs for full-time = 3.
5 hrs per month for that quarter).
Start Date: -Winter Quarter 2024.
