The Community & Continuing Education program at Whatcom Community College invites applications for a Part-Time Hourly Customer Service Assistant to provide frontline customer service and program support.
Responsibilities
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
-Providing customer service by phone and email.
-Data entry of participant registrations and class details.
-Clerical support.
-Assisting instructors with classroom set-up and student check-in for adult classes and summer youth programs.
-Proofreading marketing materials and other documents.
Qualifications
-High school graduate or equivalent.
-Experience working in a busy office environment with regular interruptions.
-Proficiency in Outlook and Excel.
-Data entry experience with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
-Customer service experience.
-Excellent communication, organizational, time management, multi-tasking, process development, and problem-solving skills.
-Database management experience, including data entry, querying, and reporting.
Salary and Hours:
-Starts at $16 per hour.
Approximately 16 hours per week; 2:00 – 6:00p.
m.
, Monday – Thursday, with occasional Saturday mornings during the academic quarter.
-Accrues 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours of work.
Start Date:
-As soon as can be arranged with successful candidate.
