Youth Program Assistant

*Position Summary: *The Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation District is currently seeking a Youth Program Assistant to support After School youth programs for 2024.
This includes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Afterschool Enrichment, and an occasional Saturday.
This job will also go into Summer if candidate chooses to work Summer Day Camp.
*Position Responsibilities:* ● Primarily: Support Youth Activity Coordinator by helping to implement, supervise, and promote youth activities and afterschool enrichment.
● Work with all staff at community events such as Splash Days and Pirate Daze.
● Ensure a safe and fun environment at all youth activities.
● Clean and maintain recreational equipment and light janitorial work.
● Perform other duties as assigned.
*The Candidate should possess the following: * ● Experience working with and supervising groups of children.
● Polite, respectful, and professional.
● Community oriented, fair, honest, and have good reasoning skills.
● Team player who can also work independently and is willing to learn new skills.
● Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
● Be at least 16 years or older.
● Must pass background checks.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.
50 per hour Work Location: In person
