This role will focus on Asset Recovery (collections).
Successful candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of one (1) year related experience and/or training.
The ideal candidate will bring knowledge and experience with State and Federal bankruptcy regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

*Loan Servicer I, II, III or Senior* * Responsible for ensuring effective and professional communications is maintained between the credit union and its members both external and internal.
* Respond to and resolve internal service requests.
* Ensures that loan transaction files are accurate and complete, and that staff complies with appropriate procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
* May assist with training Loan Servicing as well as other Credit Union staff.
* May fund and audit all funded real estate and consumer loan files.
Report audit findings to appropriate individual(s) as directed.
Ensure conforming files are put together in proper stacking order and/or in accordance to internal procedures depending on the type of loan being processed.
* Responsible for quoting and processing payoffs on all loans as well as releasing the credit union’s interest in the collateral via reconveyance or title/UCC-1 release.
* Process construction draws.
* Record and maintain accurate, up to date information on member accounts received by telephone or by mail in a timely manner (i.
e.
, Address change requests).
* Ensures monitoring of quick return of final Title Polices and final Deeds of Trust.
* May process daily and month end balancing, including GL reconciliation for accounting as well as reconciling both internal and external servicing portfolios.
* Assists in writing and maintaining department procedures.
* Responsible for record retention and proper disposal of documents on an annual basis.
* Remain current on real estate law, compliance, RCWs and WACs.
* Process updated information received by telephone or by mail in a timely manner.
* Generates monthly reports as assigned.
* Actively promote loans to members and potential members.
* At all times, maintains a professional demeanor and respectful tone when discussing delinquency issues with members.
* Assists with member research and account corrections.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Loan Servicer II, III or Senior* * Assists manager in coordinating daily loan servicing activities, including processing and documenting loan transactions, paying insurance and tax bills, and performing escrow analysis.
* Assists with maintaining member escrow accounts by paying property taxes, private mortgage insurance premiums, hazard insurance premiums, and coordinating insurance tracking with third party vendor and maintaining system records.
* Contact delinquent borrowers in person, by telephone, by email, or by mail, to encourage prompt repayment of delinquent accounts.
Confer with members to determine reason for overdue payment, reviewing terms of loan, charge, or credit contract with member.
Provide credit counseling to members in financial difficulty.
* Responsible for ensuring effective and professional communications is maintained between the credit union and its members throughout the collection’s process.
*Loan Servicer III or Senior* * Ensures timely processing of skip claims, and notice of impounds.
* Assists with assigning and working through repossession to sale of repossessed collateral.
* Stays current with all provisions of the Federal and State Bankruptcy codes and regulations as well as Repossession and Collection Laws.
* Processes hardship/TDR modifications * Assists with foreclosure assignment processing, risk grading, repossessions of assignment sales, skip/locate delinquent borrowers, bankruptcies, and OREO maintenance, sales and risk analysis.
* Works directly with attorneys on judgement assignments, bankruptcy, foreclosure and modifications.
*Loan Servicer Senior* * Assists Manager with day-to-day department operations in their absence.
* Serves as a training go-to.
* Assists with staff scheduling.
* Assist Loan Servicing team with complex loans and/or accounts; escalation point (ability to make complex decisions in an effective manner).
*SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:* None.
