Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Established Bellingham law office seeks experienced self-motivated legal assistant/paralegal to assist and provide a range of case support for civil and corporate attorneys.
You will provide a broad spectrum of legal support under the supervision of an attorney.
_2-5 years experience and familiarity with litigation preferred.
_ *Responsibilities* * Provide administrative support to attorney * Handle communication with clients, witnesses, etc.
* Prepare and format case briefs and summarize depositions, interrogatories and testimony * Conduct investigations and statistical/documentary research * Locate and develop case relevant information * Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence * Answer and direct phone calls * Maintain contact lists * Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars *Skills* * Proven working experience as legal assistant or paralegal * Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system * Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a law office * Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred) * Proficiency in English * Working knowledge of case management software * Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure * Possess excellent organizational skills with very strong attention to detail * Be personable and able to communicate with co-workers and clients in a courteous and professional manner *Benefits* * Medical * 401K Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.
