They are currently seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager to join their team.
This role involves inheriting an existing book of business, managing key accounts, and actively pursuing new business opportunities, primarily targeting large domestic Retail Groceries, Distributors, broadeners, and specialty Seafood distributors.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience and an extensive network in the seafood or related industry, ready to enhance the company’s market presence and drive substantial growth.
Seafood Key Account Manager Job Responsibilities
Inherit and effectively manage a book of business while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
Actively hunt for new business opportunities and expand the client base by selling additional products to existing clients.
Customize account strategies based on your unique experience and existing contacts.
Focus on selling to large domestic Retail Groceries, working with clients like Whole Foods, as well as Distributors and specialty Seafood distributors.
Utilize direct margin controls to negotiate and sell products efficiently and profitably.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience selling to Retail Grocery, Distribution, or wholesalers/processors by the container.
Proven track record of Fresh Fish Wholesale Sales, including logistics, inventory, negotiations on margins, and container sales.
Strong existing business contacts in at least one channel of business, with a preference for multiple channels and contacts.
Exposure and understanding of Asian or Native American / Alaskan cultures is a plus.
Direct experience from a fishery, broker, or trader preferred; candidates from manufacturing or processing are of least interest.
