As a Senior Sales Agronomist, we are looking for a motivated self-starter who can lead the fertilizer regulatory compliance and fertilizer sales effort for Sedron.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Agronomy and government regulatory requirements.
Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:
As an expert in agronomy, lead the development of new organic products and markets
Manage fertilizer regulatory compliance and organic listing requirements for all products
Execute sales plans to achieve sales goals and increase profitability through implementation of sales, marketing and consulting processes for products and services
Manage safety considerations related to soil, fertilizer, storage and retail
Build and manage the pipeline of sales opportunities working with customers, farmers, wholesalers and necessary government agencies
Develop sales plans to achieve growth and profitability goals
Facilitate positive long-term relationships with suppliers and customers
Prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to meet goal objectives and support fellow team members
Serve as an in-house expert in agriculture and the fertilizer business.
Share your expertise by conducting occasional trainings and through 1:1 interaction with team members
Represent Sedron at appropriate industry events as necessary
Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team
Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
Perform other related duties as assigned
This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agronomy or Agriculture field required; Master’s degree preferred
Five years’ experience in the Agricultural industry (preferred)
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
Some travel is required with overnight stays, 25% of time

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Wage range for this role is between $120,000-140,000 annually
Discretionary bonus
The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role.
Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident for this position.
